We booked for 12:30 thinking it would be quieter than 1… absolutely manic but the service was quick and the food was great. Had a short wait in a queue for the carvery but it was worth it. Food extremely fresh and staff busy swapping stuff over for freshly made food. Despite the business no issues and served good food quickly. Pudding and bottomless drinks also great. They didn’t actually have our Fork booking but got us in. No fault of the Fork - Toby had booked us somewhere miles away…

3/10The restaurant was dirty. Our table had just been wiped over but was still wet. The food was cold particularly the vegetables. The salmon and prawn Wellington had a rubbery pastry which was awful and could not be eaten. The carvery should be served hot and not cold. Altogether a very disappointing meal to present to our American visitors

10/10Warm welcome Good table Really friendly atmosphere Caring attentive hostess Great carvery, best I've been to. Very high quality food and generous meat helpings. Choice of 5 meats . Excellent Fresh vegetables, perfectly cooked. Carvery service is humourous, efficient. good value for money Car park spaces . Highly recommended

10/10First time return visit since early 2010. Parked okay and I could see the place was pretty full. We got shown to our table and ordering protocols were pleasantly explained, Our drinks orders were taken, and were waiting for us on our return from the carvery counter. There was a queue of about 15 people in front of us at the carvery counter. This was quickly reduced by the very professional friendly and good humoured serving guys., who were working as a well oiled machine. Superb teamwork! We were served within 8/10 minutes. I chose the King sized carvery and was pleasantly surprised by the generous helpings of meats I was given. The vegetables were fresh and there was a good variety to choose from. Fresh, well cooked ,delicious and cracking value for money. A very pleasant visit, great atmosphere,very cheerful and attentive staff, probably the best carvery I've been to. Thank you , highly recommended !

6/10Easter Sunday. Shame, I was sat right near the servery, separated by a screen, I explained to the server that I was a woman of a certain age and was really hot, to no avail. The Yorkshire pudding was flat and very gooey and stodgy, inedible. I have had a lot better

6/10We were given window seats which unfortunately had little leg room and the seats could not be moved due to lack of space, we did move to a centre table. The beef served from the carvery was tough (shame it looked nice) roast potatoes skins were hard (cooks need a lesson from theirmothers).. The sweet was very good. It was my 1st time here,my 3 other guests were disappointed as they had been before and the food had been excellent and that's why they recommended your restaurant and so they felt a bit let down.

2/10Booked for my father in laws birthday and as we was on our way you phoned to cancel as had problems with the steamers ,which left us to late notice to book any thing else ,which ruined the birthday treat if you let us know earlier could of arranged something else

10/10We enjoyed an excellent meal with a very polite, efficient and welcoming young waiter. Internal surroundings comfortable and clean. The exterior approach to the restaurant needs attention. Virtually no illumination along the pathway at the front leading to the entrance . This, coupled with the pathway being somewhat uneven, could present a safety hazard, especially to the elderly and those using walking aids.

7.5/10Food was good.servise was bad.we was having drink and two times we was asked two go two calvery.and was not ready.we finished food and orderd sticky pudding ween she brought pudding just basically chucked on table.we asked 3 times for bill we had two wate 15 minnites before we could pay she had a bit off attitude around 5 foot 4 black long haire age around 24.she might been a supervisor the way she come across.as stated food good seing good service terrible

10/10returned to the toby after a ex ellent meal last week. this time took my daughter for a birthday meal.as usual everthing was of a very high standard,food was excellent,very good choice,service first class.
