Lovely food and alfresco, but spoilt by over attentive service. Not sure if I was overcharged as wasn't even given bill- they suddenly came part way through the meal and asked for the payment- discombobulated and not sure I'd return.

Hello Cam, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, and I am sorry that we didn't meet your expectations on your recent visit. As a rule for all outside tables/groups we ask for customers to pay as they go, or alternatively by starting a tab which is why you have been asked to pay, and if you are in any doubt of the amount charged you can always request a bill prior, as well as after payment with the full itemisation including VAT. Very busy and disorganised when we arrived but a fabulous lady turned it around for us and we had a great time. I am sure we will return.

Lovely place seating near quiet inner courtyard. Music low enough not to interfere with conversation. Staff very attentive and good food.

We've been coming to Truckles for 28 years, and love it still, this little gem hidden away in the middle of London. Our visit this time was great as usual, marred only by drunk people taking the food we'd ordered ... the team couldnt have been more apologetic, racing to remake the food and bring it out, including the chef who came to apologise (although how he could have stopped drunk people stealing food I dont know!). Fab night, great food, even better wine.

A good eating experience, with very nice and efficient staff. However, the online booking process is ridiculous! When you make an online booking, you get bombarded with emails (at every stage in the process) from THREE different sources: (i) Truckles themselves; (ii) "The Fork"; and (iii) Google! All emails say the same thing - so what a waste of everyone's time. Please streamline this annoying process.

Very close to British Museum. Lovely sunny courtyard tucked away from the busy streets. Excellent, friendly service. Delicious food. Would definitely visit again.

Rather mediocre food with limited menu choices. Had to ask twice just to get a bottle of mineral water and they looked irritated. Conveniently near the British Museum but I would not return.
