The food from the lounge menu was comfort food. It was tasty and well presented. The chunky chips were excellent. David, out waiter could not have done more and he had a great sense of humour

Wonderful, helpful staff. Venue is relaxing and of a very high standard. The one disappointing aspect was the majority of the cakes felt mass produced. Scones were fab but I would have liked more home made cake for the price.

Marygreen Manor is a tucked away gem. My aunt and I had afternoon tea in the beautiful gardens rather than the conservatory because it was such a hot day. The waiter who served us (Peter?) was so kind and attentive, and made sure we had lots to eat. He's a real credit to the restaurant. We had a varied selection of sandwiches, some made specially because I don't eat meat, and a generous amount of cream with the scones. Then we finished with 4 little cakes each which were as good as I've tasted in a West End hotel. Thoroughly recommended. I will even bring my MIL one day!

Good food. Afternoon tea for our anniversary. Staff really good. If I could suggest one thing, maybe a little background music. Some piano music maybe.

My friend and I booked an afternoon tea we walked in wasn’t really greeted other than are you (name booked under), we were taken to our table located in the conservatory which was tiny, it had 6 tables in it. We was seated on a tiny, wobbly table and the table cloth had specs of dirt/dust and when looking around all the other tables were like it. The guy who took us to the table asked if we wanted tea or coffee and then walked off, no other drinks were offered to us i.e. when we normally go to afternoon tea we are asked if we would like water on the table or other hot or cold drinks, bear this in mind we have been to alot of afternoon teas. He brought the tea over and walked off again about 10 minutes later he brought over our afternoon tea and asked if he wanted him to go through it or keep it as a surprise (was almost like he couldnt be bothered to go through it) so we asked him to go through it, which tbh was a pretty basic afternoon tea that you could have done at home. He then said his name was Dave and if we needed anything to ask, to which he walked off and wasn’t seen for the majority of the tea so it wasn’t like we could ask for anything. Until he came into the conservatory about 3/4 of the way through and was looking up at the ceiling, to which he said he was waiting for the red arrows to fly over (Kings Coronation), the time had passed and the arrows were not flying over this way. We asked for a glass of water and finished the rest of our afternoon tea and paid up. The disappointing thing was, not only lack of customer service and we was never asked if everything was okay, but there was no atmosphere and there was only ourselves and another table of 4 and it was almost like you couldn’t talk because you would hear each other’s conversations, but there was no decorations or any theme to do with the Kings Coronation, even just the simple touch of serving coronation chicken for one of the sandwich fillings, we felt disappointed and the food being basic felt like it wasnt fresh and had been sitting there a few days was completely frustrated as we was looking forward to it. The other thing is, I have been here numerous times and I’ve never had this disappointment at all, I am not sure if it is under new management, but something needs to be done.
