Visited this restaurant a few years ago and was really looking forward to it when we next visited Newcastle. However, we were very disappointed with the food. The Idilys were not made fresh and was hard instead of soft and spongy. The main dish which looked heavenly when it came, was again a disappointment. We learnt the restaurant has been taken over by new owners since our last visit.

We went under last ownership and it was fantastic. Not so good this time thought. Nothing really wrong with the meal but it wasn't excellent. Pickles were disappointing- chopped up chicken for a pickle?! Mango pickle from a jar. Family naan not big enough. No atmosphere at all and poor decor. We used to love the place but won't be back. Much better options within a very short walk.

Delicious authentic south Indian, can adapt to vegan options too. I did prefer older menu, with more traditional dishes but they made an old dish for me no longer on menu

Very much enjoyed it here today . Quick service , friendly staff and excellent quality of food . New management we were told - very impressed and can’t wait to return .

Supasatra, what can I say, they seemed very under staffed, disorganised, unattentive and on a Saturday night only 2 staff working front of house, what looked like a kitchen porter helping on the bar clearing the stack of glasses and dirty plates just dumped there, we sat there for an hour and had a starter and a drink, looking around the room we saw people with starter plates empty for quite some time, people wanting drinks to no avail as the two staff working were hardly ever there, I could go on but, very disappointed indeed.

Beautiful food...very well presented. Will definately come back again. SO helpful with my mother who is not very mobile. Excellent service!!
