    We tried a range of small plates, which were delicious and the seating next to the window is a must as the view from the restaurant of Tower Bridge is stunning.

    We visited the restaurant on International Women’s Day! The staff was accommodating, our server Dragos was great, offered to take pictures, gave us tips on the best dishes! And to top it off our all-female group got complementary champagne to celebrate Women’s day!!! The food was delicious, the views breathtaking, their instagram corner was spot on!

    Amazing location and view. Have lived in the area twenty years and first time here and best view so far. Restaurant and hotel it's in very pleasant, tranquil. Modern and clean too. Those are the good points. Food average and overpriced (only went as had £50 of Yums to use up). Waiting staff were polite and pleasant. Except one guy who put on a funny face when the bill he brought at the end didn't have the £50 Yums discount - giving the impression he thought we were trying it on, which was very rude. Would go back for location and view and if there was a deal on food only.

    Everything was memorable, however, my starter had SO much garlic in it, it ruined the main and I felt I'll throughout the night. But views, ambience and staff were amazing.

    Crispy battered cod served on thick-cut fries, accompanied by a green pea puree and a lemon wedge, paired with a refreshing cocktail garnished with mint.

    Great location, lovely food but the portions were quite small for the price. It was 2 for 1 cocktails when we went so we indulged with a Painkiller which was delicious. Service was great.

    Lovely setting. Service was quite slow. When I booked had said it was a birthday treat and also when I phoned to ask if I could have a window seat. Other guests got a ‘happy birthday’ cake but we didn’t. Quite disappointed

    We had a lovely visit to The VU for a Bottomless Afternoon Tea. The view was stunning and the Afternoon platter was delicious. We opted for Prosecco as our Bottomless drink and it was really good! Staff were friendly and efficient :) Would definitely visit again!

    The staff was nice and kind, it took some time to order etc but as it was a decent amount of people, that is fine as they were very friendly. However, what I find less acceptable was my experience with the food. The reviews are not great and I am quite positive the chef takes shortcuts. In my case, we got the fish and chips and the pea puree was somewhat stale (this is fine) but the chips were cold and not well cooked at all. The battered fish was warm and decent so I am quite positive that they prepare the base quite early and then just sends out the fish when the fish is ready. I am sure many restaurants take shortcuts and not everything is minute fresh but at least they do a bit better job to cover it up using salamanders or similar. Anyways, the staff was friendly enough to provide us properly made chips when I asked without any fuss.

    staff were very abrupt. we had to send our food back because it was burnt. for the money you pay here it's not worth it. could get a better meal in weatherspoons!

    The presentation of the afternoon tea was beautiful, but the food was disappointing. The biscuits were hard, the bread on the sandwiches were really stale and tasted old. And the desserts were way too sweet and tasted like pure sugar. Great view of tower bridge, but only 1 flower wall for aesthetic photos? It was so disappointing to see videos online of these beautiful floral arrangements and then come in to find only one party could be seated there. The place was empty and the waiter checked on us only 1 time. And the worst part was that I paid $100 USD to basically only drink tea.

    We had a very pleasant experience with superb views to the Tower bridge! Service was very attentive and the food presented in a nice way. It’s a big plus to be able to pay with Yums! I also liked that all vegan plates are clearly labeled - only suggestion would be to add a dish with some more protein like tofu etc. Otherwise everything was perfect

    We had booked a table for dinner but were seated at a table too small for three people to eat - we managed to get a better table but only when we asked again - great cocktails and view - the food was ok needs a bit more flair warm burger buns perhaps some salad or put on smaller plates as food looked a bit lost on the plate

    The views were great. The bites were solid and good portions. The disappointing part was not being able to order afternoon tea for our noon reservation. It didn’t start until 1. I don’t believe that was clearly identified on the website for reservations.

    That was brilliant! I Loved the venue’s ambience and how we overlooked the Tower Bridge. Foods and drnks are awesome and lots of choices! I am really impressed with the availability of selections for non-alcoholic drinks! It made my special day memorable 🥹😍

    My friend and I ordered the burger and chips. It took a while for the food to come and when it arrived the bacon had been left, The burger patties were quite chewy and tasteless and the chips were hard and the whole meal was quite cold. The service wasn't great overall either, we were disappointed with the visit.

    What an incredible place to eat. The view was exceptional - we had the best table! The food was delicious and so reasonably priced. The service couldn't have been better. We had a truly memorable experience at the Vu.

    I reserved afternoon tea a month in advance. Got there the waitress was adamant that we did not. Unhelpful and provided no alternatives. Already traveled in for the experience to watch someone else have the afternoon tea I booked in front of us. Food is good.

    Nice view of the Thames and Tower Bridge. Drinks are very expensive and food is mediocre at its best! Go for a quick drink but don’t go for the food or a party

    I came here after seeing it on Instagram. Boy was it not worth it. Dirty windows, so HOT in n the restaurant. Subpar food. Didn’t even have pretty tea mugs. I felt like I was in Vegas and I wasted almost 200 pounds too. The waitresses were nice and I hated it for them.
