10/10Had this restaurant recommended to me and was not disappointed. They were even considerate of fasting times so our platter and additional plates arrived at the table moments before iftar. Flavours were excellent. Decor is beautiful. Highly recommend. Will come again

9/10The food is great. We tried chicken biryani, reshmi kabab, chappal kabab, chicken tikka boti, charsi lamb karahi, roghni and butter naans. Our favourite was biryani, charsi karahi and chicken tikka. روغنی naan is authentic. 10/10 for service. They ensured our food arrived straight after iftar. Also gave us dates and complimentary pakoras. Could do a bit more with chappal kabab ( a bit undercooked). Overall beautiful place and authentic food.

10/10Amazing service, food and value for money. Afghan cuisine is one of my favourites and this is likely the best Afghan restaurant I have eaten at in London with amazing pricing. I will be back very soon.

9.5/10Watan has everything. The food is great; while not cheap, it is not expensive; the people are as attentive as they can be in a place with so much buzz and bustle. As my daughter said, she loves going there because it makes her feel like she is on holiday.

10/10This is by far the best restaurant in Tooting. As a family we go there all the time. Excellent food, great tasty food, amazing atmosphere. Friendly staff, who welcome all customers and provide an overall great service. Special thanks goes to the night Manager - he knows me and my family very well. Topman! Lastly, we always recommend to our family and friends to visit Watan restaurant.

4.5/10We were sat right at the back - where things were piled on one table right next to us… 2 lifts HSS parked up in the restaurant. Order placed, when it came it didn’t come all at once … over 10 mins…and then dishes were missing and no one around to ask - right end of meal - we were told they ran out… drink order - not all were served and after chasing / then some time later again were told machine is broken … it was such a disappointment!!

10/10The food was AMAZING . Who knew you could have Masala Chips !! The best chips I’ve ever eaten lol x We went for the mixed grill for 2 , so much food and so delicious . It was incredibly busy and at least 20 odd people waiting to be seated throughout our meal , people just kept coming in ! But having eaten there I totally understand why it was so busy . A must go to

2/10Booked the restaurant for my brothers birthday but the food did not meet expectations. I ordered the chef's special lamb Karahi, but it was not cooked properly and had an unusual smell. We informed the manager about this, and while he did replace the dish, the odor persisted. I believe their food used to be good, but it isn't the same anymore. The server was quite nice, but overall, both the food and the service were disappointing.

Our Table was pre booked, warm welcome, food was superb. After long long time I had an authentic taste of the food. Manager Zabeehullah and rest of the staff were Marvellous. I strongly recommend booking with thefork.

10/10We had a wonderful experience at Watan! The food was amazing aand portion sizes generous. The staff work hard and were inviting and friendly despite how busy and packed the restaurant was. A very attentive and organised establishment. Looking forward to our next trip there soon!

Watan in Tooting is one of the most memorable restaurants I have visited. From the moment you step inside, you are transported into a different world. The massive open view sizzling grill cooking space is on your right and you can see several chefs working their magic. The food is delicious, superbly cooked, the portions generous and nicely presented on large platters. The staff is very respectful and genuinely friendly. The venue is very spacious, but can get incredibly busy on special days, which adds to the atmosphere. Great vibe all around. I highly recommend it!

8/10The food was incredible - fresh, hot and just beautiful. The service not so much. There were so many people waiting for their food, it was really frustrating. We had an hour long wait for ours. But the end result was worth it, it was really good. And they were kind enough to give us green tea and dessert on the house. Great restaurant and food.

5/10Our sheek kebabs were pink inside, had to send back to cook more, we had main curry with starter as waiter sent whole order to kitchen so we had curry sent to our table whilst waiting for kebabs.
