My friend had a yummy Chelsea tea and took one of her scones complete with cream and jam home with her in her doggy box. We both enjoyed our tea - mine was a white peony - has a refill. Also a very yummy dairy free cake. We were not rushed and as hoped, a good place for a long chat!
From the scones to the tea, everything was delicious, but what truly made the experience special was the waitstaff. The waitress was so amazing! She answered all of our questions and helped us pick the best teas, she also brought us some extra preserve for our scones. All around a great experience, we will definitely be coming back.
Very good afternoon tea for an affordable price. The place itself is very nice and modern. Loved the decoration, not to posh and yet beautiful. Very nice staff.
Quite squashed tables
Great atmosphere, great choice of menu items including food and drink. Staff were smiling and incredibly friendly. Would definitely visit again.
Lovely food and very friendly service
This was a slice of calm and joy in the middle of the hustle and bustle. The tea and cakes were beautiful and I’ll 100% be back
Great quality food and tea! Also had great service as the waiter recommended me a passion fruit and mango green tea, which I loved! Really cosy place, great for a celebration or a little treat.
Delicious great value for money afternoon tea experience
Great tea... food was good... super nice service... they should have more servers... our server was the only person that worked that day and it was busy... she did a great job... but they should have more people serving... atmosphere could be more high tea like...
Piccadilly Afternoon tea; fabulous food and service. Excellent recommendations on the teas as well. Favourite tea now is cucumber mint #yummy and my mum was pleasantly surprised with her elderflower earl grey. We both bought them after to experience at home
Covent garden is a lovely location and the tea room is a great find. Afternoon tea was very good value for money. Shame we were on such a small table. Not much room for everything. Felt annoyed that we had a poor table especially as we had booked. People coming in off street got better tables than us. We are regular customers of Whittards and we did feel a bit let down
The staff in the Covent Garden tea room were exceptionally friendly, upon arrival and throughout our afternoon tea. The food and drinks arrived quickly and were presented beautifully. We opted for the Grocer's Tea, which had more than enough food for two. I especially enjoyed the spinach roll, which was absolutely delicious. The small tarts we were presented with were also delicious, especially the mango and passion fruit one. I would like to mention staff member Amy, who took us around the shop and talked us through many of the teas. She was very knowledgeable about them all and also very enthusiastic. She mentioned her personal favourites, let us try many of them and overall it was a very enjoyable experience. Thank you to her.
Pretty average. Certainly nothing special. No different from an ordinary Mid/low level tea shop. Food: scones and sandwiches were stale. Staff were nice.
Had a lovely afternoon tea with my goddaughter, good value for money and pleasant friendly staff.
Thank you for a wonderful time. Curry flavor and salmon sandwich were delicious. Tea is also the best!
A Spanish friend wanted an English cream tea, and Whittard’s serves that all day! We did book but turned up early and wer accommodated. We went for just scone, jam and cream with tea, all of which were delicious. The service was attentive and helpful. We were not rushed, and thoroughly enjoyed our tea. I noticed several solo diners which is always good to see.
