We travelled from Suffolk to attend a wedding at Islington Town Hall. The location of the cafe was ideal. It was an extremely enjoyable visit with lovely food and friendly helpful staff. Highly recommended.

We booked a "50% off a la carte" deal. A la carte means of the menu. What these guys did on purpose to avoid committing to the deal is they created a section in their menu called "a la carte" that onlt included 5 dishes out of 30+, as if the rest of items is somehow "off the carte"? So we did not get 50% off the items "from the menu". We got 50% off from the little section of the menu they decided to call "a la carte". On one hand yes smart. But truly dishonest. I will not recommend this place even though the food was good. Dishonesty will not get you far.

The offer says 50% a la carte menu. But what they mean is a tiny section of the menu called "gourmet a la carte"" with 4 mains. The 95% of the menu is not included in the offer. I found it a little weird. Food is below avarege but cheap even at full price

Thank you for your comment. 2 people, 2 starters and 2 main courses and one soft drink price total less than £35. We don’t offer full menu is half price. When our customers arrive after we directly tell and show the a la carte menu. That’s the one of the option or choose other deals which is 2 course 12,95. I guess that’s the best price on upper street. Margarita pizza 9.95, any cocktails 2 for 12,45 cocacola 1.95. We are giving best price for us as much as we can. But 2 stars from here or 1 star google review is not helpful for the people in my opinion. If you come again and if you don’t like the food, tell us and I would like to sorted out the problems. Thank you

This restaurant is in bustling Islington. We had a friendly welcome and the restaurant had our booking. We did book the 50% Fork offer, and the server let us know that this applied to the main course a la carte only. This was fine. We had starters, and the falafel and haloumi were excellent. The mains were very tasty and well presented. Reasonable prices for London and we even brought a complimentary liqueur with the bill. Thank you 😊

The restaurant did not honour The Fork discount, so we left. We were offered a selection of 6/7 mains, the most expensive on the menu and nothing that we wanted to eat (see photo). Nothing else on the menu, including starters, we’re on offer. What a shame.

It was a lovely, lovely restaurant. We went for a Sunday brunch and there were people nonstop. They had clearly marked vegan options, which I find very helpful. The food was decent but not great, and I was a bit disappointed when we were brought our toast which was pre-buttered to the table (both mine and my partners together) and I asked which one was the vegan one and the server said he didn’t know and then left without offering to follow up and check. Not a massive deal but not great service on his part, but it was quite busy. My partner wasn’t delighted that his tea came with milk already added rather than on the side to adjust to taste. The place did have a lovely atmosphere and was in a nice neighbourhood and we would probably go back.

The value at this lovely café is just superb, the staff is incredibly nice. The literally go above and beyond to make their customers happy. We visited as a group of eight children and two adults and they’ve been absolutely amazing. We just love it!

The Worker’s Cafe menu is extensive and suitable for any time of day. The fruit juices are tasty and generous, the cannelloni are delicious and the meals are well-presented and tasty. Coffees are well-priced. Good value for money all round. Service gets busy but the staff are helpful and very pleasant.

Lovely restaurant. The staff were very welcoming & friendly. Service was quick. The full English breakfast was great value and the pancakes with fruit were just right ????. The front area was opened out in the sunshine so added to the experience. I will dine here again for breakfast when next in the area.
