10/10I have been searching over the years for truly authentic Indian restaurants that cook and serve truly authentic Indian food, cooked the right way, using the right ingredients, in the right way. I have finally found one. Yak & Yeti. What a delightful find. These dishes are how you find at an Indian household. This is incredibly rare. When you see Indian customers sitting at the tables, this is also a tell tale sign of the quality. Well done guys, thank you, keep it up, see you again very soon. And then again, and again....

8/10Went on Monday evening, only 2 other tables. Restaurant is very big and nice ambiance. Service was Bert good, waiter very friendly. Portions were very generous especially the side dishes, I was offered boxes to take away leftover food. The Nepalese lamb biting was very nice and different from what we had before. They didn’t have our booking through the fork but we had the discount applied when showing the booking confirmation email. Nice place and good. We recommend and will be happy to go again even without discount.

8/10I wanted to go to Nepal this week, but the war in the Middle East made me change our plans. As today is Diwali we came to this Nepalese restaurant instead, We had an early booking and the restaurant was cold, very cold. The young couple sitting near the window had the one and only heater. I ate in my coat. Even after they left and we were lent the heater I didn’t warm up. My husband kept teasing me and saying that I was practicing for the cold of the Himalayas. The chutneys were different and lovely. The onion bhaji tasted great, but was deconstructed. We were surprised that the young and lovely (Bangladeshi from Dakka) waiter seemed to be the only member of staff in the building. Then the delightful Nepalese member of staff arrived and was able to explain the paintings. After an hour we finally received our main courses. Mine was a very unusual but flavoursome duck curry, my husband had a very interesting Nepalese Thali style meal. The Dahl was particularly delicious.
