Beautiful food. Service a little slow. Won't put me off going back. A new favourite!!
Lovely food and service!Would definitely go again!Wished they had mateaus rose though as it goes so well with curry!Cocktails were amazing, even the mock tail made for my pregnant daughter
One of the best Indian Restaurants in Hertfordshire and definitely the best in Bishops Stortford and surrounding areas. It's classy and clean with a lovely chilled atmosphere with beautiful decor and comfy seats. A treat before lockdown kicks in.
Staff were welcoming and accommodating as our small group came in at different times. We had drinks whilst waiting, then we were seated promptly. Food was chosen and served. Delicious and fresh food. We will be back. Highly recommend for food and drinks.
Lovely food and a great time will definitely be back x all of us enjoyed the food drink and ambiance will definitely recommend to others and local
I love Zara. But the social distancing was a joke. We were far too close to other diners and had people moving past and touching our chairs on their way to the bathroom. I won’t be visiting again until they mitigate risk. Really disappointed as I love Zara.
Really enjoyed Zara, I had never been before so was expecting a typical Indian and was very please to find a cottage style interior with lots of interesting furnishings.. The food was great with lots of delicate hints of herbs and spices. Only complaint would be some. Of this dishes were quite mild.
Went there to support the eat out and help out, first time visiting, recommend by our son, this is hard one to actually review, food was fine, but not sure they are giving there best on this deal
Once the best Indian restaurant in town. Sadly not any more. The outside is half repainted in a dire mauve colour, there were bits of popadom and a dirty napkin under our table. There was a long wait between being served drinks and the food order being taken. The starter was lukewarm and had obviously been left sitting for sometime before being bought to our table. The main course was nice but this restaurant is quite expensive for an Indian and the poor level of service and general low standard no longer justify the fancy prices. This used to be my first choice for a curry but I could no longer recommend it and I felt slightly embarrassed taking my guest there. I will be re-visiting some of the other curry restaurants in town before I use this place again. My overall feeling was one of indifference from the staff and a lack of leadership and attention to detail.
First time we have been out for dinner since lockdown, felt very safe, all staff had their masks on & hand sanitizer provided in all areas. Food was superb. Highly recommend
Very lovely atmosphere and welcome from the staff. They noticed that it was my sons 16th birthday and offered him a free dessert, which was lovely
Excellent food, great friendly service. Very pleased.
Delicious food and a nice atmosphere. Staff were excellent.
Everything was great except my Wife’s chicken Jalfrezi. This dish was very bland, very little flavour.
Excellent as always.
It was the first time we have been to Zara and we was not disappointed the food was lovely and so was the service all the staff were very friendly and quick to bring our drinks etc
